Injury Prevention Tips Part II

In addition to the previous blog, here are some additional injury prevention tips to follow:

1) Check that equipment is appropriate and safe.

2) Introduce new activities gradually and make sure you are clear on how to perform them safely.

3) Allow lots of time for warming up before your workout/activity.

4) Review training and competition courses beforehand.

5) Train on different surfaces, using the right footwear.

6) Shower and change immediately after the cool-down phase (after exercise).

7) Stay away from potentially infectious areas when training or competing very hard.

8) Be extremely fussy about hygiene, particularly in hot weather.

Chiropractic care is not only exceptional in the treatment of acute and chronic injuries, but is equally successful in preventing future injuries when regular care is received. Simply, chiropractic focuses on the cause of the deficiency or injury and not just the symptoms.
